Hi, i'm Dr. Barry
Barry Goldstein received his Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology in 1995 specializing in psychological testing and consulting. His dissertation focused on research into the creative process. In, addition to his clinical expertise, he specialized in working with children, adolescents and families in the clinical setting and in schools.
Immediately after graduation he flew to Finland to perform his first case of international business consulting with Nokia Mobile Phone. Dr. Goldstein partnered with Miller-Ginsburg International, one of the first firms in the world to offer psychological services to businesses.
For several years Dr. Goldstein traveled extensively, using psychological evaluation tools for the selection and development of executives. In addition his focus also was on team building and analyzing group dynamics. Dr. Goldstein continued to work with Nokia, as well as Sanyo electronics, Seagram’s International, and the regional government of New Zealand.
As reality television ascended into prominence, Dr. Goldstein’s experience as a consultant, therapist and his expertise in practical assessment made him an excellent match for the needs of production companies. He has developed a reputation for creative problem solving, excellent communications and being ethically above reproach.
Developing a new role for himself, Dr. Goldstein has been supporting production companies for over a decade to help steer and guide the creative process. His insight into human behavior, family and group dynamics, and extensive experience with reality television has proven exceptionally welcome and useful in the development phase of show creation.
